We had Jillian’s Birthday at Pirate’s Cove in Corona Del Mar.  It was a perfect day even with the water being quite cold.  Dave got there at 7:30 in the morning to make sure we got a fire pit.  The girls and I got there around 11.  We played in the waves and had a lot of fun.  My sister and her family made it as well as Jason, Laura, Annabelle, Ethan, and Crystel.  Jillian had a great time which is important since it was her birthday.  She got lots of presents and it made her feel special.  She loved everything she received. 

We stayed late and had hotdogs and smores cooked in the fire pit. Yummy.  We didn’t leave until 8pm or so.  I’m burned, but I was quite white going in.  I also decided that the spray sun block is crap.  Dave and I both got burned, but in weird patterns.  I know I covered him well and I re-sprayed him three times and he’s all splotchy with burn spots.  The kids are fine.  They all had nice color before we went so the sun block worked fine on them.

Dave’s parents and his nephew Noah were in town for a while and stayed with us.  It was so nice to see them.  Bowie was all trippy when it came to Dave’s dad, but she’s been getting more and more skittish and I don’t know why.  Noah went to the beach for the first had and was brave enough to play in the shore break.  Dave also taught him to swim in the community pool.  We went to Dave’s grandma, Monga’s house.  Monga was able to see her four kids at the same time.  We took some group shots, but it was difficult to get everyone to look at the same time.  It was so nice to see everyone and it was sad when they had to go home.

Bowie is a great dog, but of course she has her moments.  She tore apart a roll of toilet paper in our bedroom.  She looks so proud of her work though.

She also graduated from her puppy classes.  I’m very proud of her since she doesn’t always listen to me in class.  She adores the instructor so she pays more attention to her.  Ginger is the big version of Bowie.  Bowie was called mini-me in class.  When Jillian saw the pictures she thought Bowie looked big in the picture.  I had to tell her that wasn’t Bowie.   

Dave’s cousin had a birthday and this was the best card ever.

I hadn’t posted in so long.  I was so excited when I hit 10,000 exactly, but now I’m over 11,000 and I’ve past Dave up.  Yippy!  Here’s a picture of the perfect 10,000.  I never have nice round numbers like that.
